Squeaky Drivers Seat

My drivers seat in my 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 CC Z71 SLE2 squeaks non stop. I mean it completly drives me nuts, has anyone else had this problem. The truck only has 5000 miles on it so I know that this is/should be a warranty covered item I just wanted to get some feedback before I take time off work to go to the dealership and all that. I appreciate any help. Thanks, Lucas

Yeah my 2006 Chevy Silverado Z71 extended cab does it. Especially, coming off a stop. It's like a squeak, squish noise. And, every once in a while the pass side does it too. Seems to be coming from behind the seat and in the vicinity of the rear door on both sides. I tightened the body bolts the other day, but noise still there...Gonna try spraying some silicone or wd40 on the bushing tonight. And, if it's still there will take to dealer in a couple weeks when I get back from holiday vacation.

My 2007 Classic Crew makes some horrific squeaking/ groaning noises when stopping and taking off from a stop.

I have an appointment at the dealer for this on 1-02. He's also going to address a creaking from the upper steering column at parking lot speeds, and take another whack at the 40 mph whining from the differential.

Funny. my 2004 EC never had any of these issues. I was an idiot for getting rid of it

Oh well. I like the color of the '07 better anyway

the seat on mine kind of squeeks. i found the source for mine. it was where the seat belt rolls in and out at the top of the seat. so i guess it was actually the seat belt not the seat

You know, my old 97 never had one rattle or noise inside. My 06 is another story, love the truck, just wish everything was screwed togather and not clipped!
