Questions About Remote Starters

The have a remote starter at sams club. its a bulldog. does anyone know about these? i have an 00z71. will this work. is there any problems i would encounter?

I have a remote starter its a viper and its a remote starter, keyless Entry, & Alarm which I only paid like $130. Thats the way that I would go. My father in law had that bulldog on their car and I thought it was crap.

 

But I think that you can do a internet search for it and you can get one for a decent price. Of course I dont know if you have power door locks and all that but I love the fact that its a alarm and everything. Would you install it yourself? Cause if not that it will cost a buttload to have it installed.

 

 

BTW I think that I bought my alarm through amazon.com or something like that! Hope this helps

Do yourself a favor and go with a DEI manufactured product: viper, python, valet, etc..

I have a remote start by astrostart on my truck. I had it installed for less than $150. If I had it to do all over again I would spring the extra cash and get a starter/keyless entry. I have to carry around two fobs instead of one, bulky in the pocket. You can research the company on the net.

 

The starter I have allows you to start, stop and start/stop auto depending on outdoor temps.

I had one installed last week, it’s a Valet. I use my same factory remote and everything works the same except I now have remote start. To start truck I press unlock three times in 4 seconds. Truck starts right up. Then I can lock the truck by pressing lock on the remote. Very simple and very stock which is what I wanted. I think it was about $130 installed by a very reputable shop.

I bought my truck used with a bulldog remote starter. POS, it didn't work at any range before my mother ran it through the wash.
