1999 Silverado 1500 4X4. I picked up the front pads and rotors at NAPA today to try to eliminate my sqeaking brakes. tried searching here for the torque values. found that the caliper bolts will be tight but couldn't find the torque value. any help is appreciated.

Ive done my brakes a bunch of times on my silvy and a bunch more times on other vehicles throughout the years....................I have never torqued the caliper bolts................just made sure they were good and snug.

ok, i'm going with 38 ft/lbs for the caliper bolts themselves (T-55). is 129 ft/lbs the correct caliper "bracket" bolts (18 mm) torque figure. got this from a haynes manual at autozone. just checking. seems its gotta be up there because everyone talks about using a breaker bar to get these loose. thanks, keith
