Gm Performance Exhaust And Intake

GM Performance parts are usually made by another after market companies like Corsa and Borla. So based on that, I would say that they would give you some performance like other after market companies. Their pricing is sometimes higher but if it makes you feel better with the warrantys it may be worth it to you.

Hope this helps, it just my opinion :fume:

If your looking for more performance very little but if your looking for better fuel economy no.

Are there better exhausts that wont void the warranty? This isnt really for racing, just abit more performance for highway cruising and stuff.

Does Corsa make the exhaust for GM? And if so, if i got the same kit cheaper, would it not void my warranty? I was looking at the corsa exhaust before.

I know GM Performance Parts has had exhaust systems from Borla and Corsa. Not sure who makes the current one.

But an aftermarket cat-back exhaust system won't void your warranty. They just won't replace your exhaust if it had any problems. As for the intake, unless they provide/install it, that could be up in the air. If you're concerned about the warranty, I'd check with your dealer before ya do anything under the hood.

I bought a Corsa System online, had it shipped to the dealership, and they installed it on my new '07 before I took delivery. No warranty issues at all. Putting an aftermarket exhaust on does not void your warranty, in and of itself.

As far as a CAI goes, if I were to buy one, I'd be more likely to go with the GM unit and have the dealer install it.

How does your exhaust sound? Mabey ill look for more exhausts than just the GM, if it doesnt void the warranty.

Go to corsaperformance.com and you can link to the audio files. GM, I guess until recently, sold Corsa Systems through some dealers, along with the GM catback system.

As far as overall quality of the Corsa System goes, it's top notch. There's no resonance or drone. It's quiet at cruise, purrs at idle, and has a nice aggressive sound at WOT.

I did listen to all the sound clips and it does sound very nice. Is it 600 dollars like the GM one?
