6 Speed ? 08 ?

Does anyone have any new info as to when GM will offer their 6 speed transmission on their light duty gmc sierra trucks ??

Best as most of us can tell, 2009 in the light duty trucks.

2008- NO 6-speed!

2009- slight possibility, but no one knows for sure yet!

The 3/4T Burb is getting the 6.0L and 6 Spd in 2008.

I said the 6-spd. wasn't coming to the 1/2-tons for '08 (Except for the Escalades/Denalis) but nobody believed me.

I got tired of waiting...just got a Sierra . I LOVE this truck, big improvement over my 03 Silverado. I don't need no stinkin 6 speed.

Just left my dealer and the 2008 #1500 gets the 4L65E only select vehicles get the 6L80E.
