Thanks Ferris...my interior is listed as Ebony on the build sheet. Because of this, I would have ordered the Ebony wheel (I'm assuming this is what you've posted as "Black") but my wheel clearly matches the Titanium photo.

Yeah, I'm sorry, I call colors by how I see them. My silver birch metallic truck is a silver truck with a hint of tan to me.

You may very well test my theory on changing the inserts, taking the titanium from your old steering wheel and swapping them with the black on your new one. Lemme know how it goes! It seems it should be a no brainer, but you never know.

Installed new wheel off a 2010 SLT with no issues. HAS CRUISE CONTROL AND RADIO SWITCHES AS WELL AS BUTTON FOR ONSTAR/BLUETOOTH, however I have no antenna so I doubt that works. I'll let you know.

Part number 20853084 which is ebony with silver trim. Don't know if this part has been described in prior posts. Works great.

Ok, I've read all 7 pages, but still am a bit confused. Two questions:

15917933 - Is this the correct part number for the Leather-Wrapped Wheel with Cruise and Audio Controls, with Titanium Inserts?

Also, will this work with the basic AM/FM WT Radio?

Thanks!

15917931 has black inserts if that helps.

Is it possible to get a pic of this wheel? Thanks.

Yes you can swap the harness..and cut hole in shroud...go to this thread if you really want to go cheap.. Steering Wheel Radio Controls Wiring Diagram - GM-Trucks.com

The 15917933 worked on my 2010 Sierra SL (truck came with cruise, single cd, no xm, and 6 speaker non-bose). Plug and play. You may not have the wiring in the steering column though. Do you have cruise? If you do, it will have the wiring for the steering wheel, if you don't, it MAY NOT have the wiring.

Yes, my truck has cruise. I'm interested in buying a wheel from a member here but it's the wrong color leather. Do I understand correctly that I can unbolt the "guts" of his wheel which contains the harness, switches, etc and retain the wheel that's already in my truck?

TIA.

You should just need the steering wheel which is part number 15917933 which has the titanium inserts.

It comes with the buttons so you don't need that separate.

Well, I guess I should have gone with my gut and ordered Ebony. I ordered the Titanium wheel and it most definitely does not match :D

The plastic inserts are a match (the spokes which surround the airbag) but the leather and plastic shroud are quite a bit lighter than my interior

Ferris209...I ordered the Titanium wheel. It was not the correct color. The color name has nothing to do with the color of the inserts and everything to do with the color of the shroud and the leather.

I believe I was right all along and should have ordered the ebony wheel.

Ok so its been awhile since my last reply on this topic and to sum up my issue, the stock radio the CD/Radio unit was not compatible with the controls on the steering wheel. I was bummed but realized once I put in my new Clarion NX500 Nav/DVD/CD unit and added the SWI-PAC module everything is working wonderfully. I absolutely love them now. I see why everyone gets them factory: 1. its easier, 2. They work right away, and 3. Easier.

To all members that would like to tactal this project, if you have a WT or SL model chances are they will not work. After reading other posts, seemed like there was very few members besides me that had an issue. In my case, yeah they work but cost me $750+ to get them working. But I was planning on adding the stereo and sound equipment anyways. Good Luck..
