I know there's been some mixed results on this thread with people adding these steering wheel controls to LS work trucks. Let me share my experience.

 

I have an '09 LS work truck that does have cruise control but was pretty much a base model, it didn't even come with remote door locks (I added a Viper remote after I bought it). It has the single disc CD player/radio w/XM.

 

I added a 15917931 steering wheel I bought from Schram off of eBay. I received it today and it looked practically brand new. I installed it when I got home from work and it works perfectly! Every button functions as it should and the lights work on both sides.

I'm very happy with this purchase. Thanks for all the great info in this thread and thanks a lot to Schram, they were excellent to deal with. :cheers:

I have a 2008 LT1 with the CD player/radio w/XM do you think it will work with it? I called my local dealer and they said it wouldn't but I think they are basing it off the VIN and since it didn't come with it preinstalled they are saying no.

Based on others' results in this thread as well as my own experience, I'd be very surprised if it didn't.

I'd take 'em up on that Chad. All you'd be out is shipping and then you'd know for sure.

 

As I said earlier, Schram is excellent to deal with! Plus they have great prices, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

They do not have the ebony with titanium inserts :thumbs: . I'm looking for the same wheel

I purchased a steering wheel from Schram Auto Parts off of Ebay a week ago and installed it yesterday and it took about 45 minutes (includes the 30 minute wait time after disconnecting the battery). Works perfect. The dealership said it wouldn't work. I have an 08 LT1 with CD/MP3/XM radio. Great feature to add.

I don't have the W/T, but it's my understanding that some of the radios manufactured in 07 were not compatible. Time to hit Ebay my friend.

Thanks, thats what I needed to know, I read most of that post before I bought the wheel but I guess I missed that part....Oh well guess it's time to start saving up for the nav screen now
