I'm from poplar bluff Missouri, and I'm new to this forum but we are car dealers down here. I'm looking for a Chevy or gmc 2500 right now not with the 6.0 in it. Also, I need it to be between 01-05. If you guys find anything let me know the miles don't matter.

I know this is an old thread, but I was curious if you could all help me out on which GMC dealers in the St. Louis area seem to have the best bottom-line prices on a trade-in plus a new GMC vehicle purchase? I haven't seen many people be able to top Laura Buick in Collinsville, IL. Any suggestions would be great!

LOL. My brother shopped at about every GM dealer in STL and ended up buying from Laura GMC in Collinsville. Seems like they are straight-shooters. He said that they came out with the pricing sheet and showed where the price they were asking was below invoice, supplier, employee, etc. And they gave him what he was wanting on his trade-in. He ended up with a blk on blk 2014 GMC Denali 4wd. I think his deal was better than the one I got for my 14 Silverado LTZ Z71.

If you want to stay on the STL side of the river, try Fusz, Bommarito, Sinclair, just to name a few.

Wow! Been over a year since anyone has posted anything here. I thought I would chime in to bump this post and see if it can be brought back to life. I'm in the St. Louis area, but grew up down at LoZ. Prior to becoming a GM guy, I was part of another truck forum and we used to have some meets in the area that were a pretty good time. Also did some local group buys from time to time. I must say, this site is much better than the other one I'm referring to, would be fun to try to get something set up for us GM owners.

    • I understand that. The price is what it is, though. The price is what oil costs today, where our choices have led us, where supply is, and where demand is, in the market that is. Speculation is for futures, what we think the price will be, but with incomplete information at the time the price is forecast. I know you know this, but you appear to be intent on making a secondary point here about what you think the market could or should be, if only other choices.   In 1975 it became illegal to export US Crude. I'm conflicted on what the best answer is. Free markets allow export in pursuit of profit. But there is also a lot to gain by producing and consuming our own oil here. How do you reconcile it?
    • That sir is a choice. And even if it were not for all the reasons stated, this disruption has zero to do with the reality of the actual logistics and everything to do with the greed of SPECULATION. Spot price is irrelevant to reality.
    • What I think you're saying is there is supply here at home, and in Venezuela, and we could ease pricing if only it were favorable to do so.   Well, yes?   But that's not the current market. Supply isn't what could someday exist, if only, it's what producers are willing to produce and sell at a certain price point.   The national price of single family homes would come way down if we'd just slap together a few million homes this summer.   RAM and GPUs would get a lot cheaper if we just set up some factories to produce a bunch more and stopped using it to build out AI data centers.
