I'm considering this, too, and would love to see a pic of the switch installed.

Hey........I know where you can get this at too :thumbs:

I knew you'd be in here to lay the sales pitch on! :dunno:

If I can install it myself and just have your guy program it, that would be a significant cost savings. I was a little worried about the labor costs for a full install.

you can def do it..it takes time to go about it correctly, but it can be done without dealer help. the only thing they will be needed for is to program it.

does anyone have the pinout for the 10 pin switch that comes with this kit? part # 25820331 and 25820329 the driver and passenger have different part numbers. I have the service manuals with diagrams and pinouts for everything but these switches. I guess because its considered accessory and not factory installed? any help greatly appreciated!

I really want to do the Heated seats install but im worried it might be over my head. :D I know this topic has been inactive for a little bit but anyone that has done this instal could help me that would be great.

I would feel alot better if I could see the instructinos that come with the Kit. I am worried about two things.

1. The actual instal of the heating part, how do I get the leather seats off?

2. Finding the correct wiring harness.

Maybe these are easy?

Thanks guys.....

I believe the switches replace the open cubby hole on the right/center of the dash. At least that's what the picture looks like to me:

So, you should just have to remove the trim piece to install them...

you guys are exactly right..the dash needs to come out..really simple though...fish up the wires and plug them in. really simple for this part..the tough part is wiring into the terminal block..have to pull 2 wires out and plug in 2 blocks.. haha..really easy guys..once you get past the terrible pics in the manual

How many wires go to the switches. I was thinking about getting this kit, but i dont want these switches in my dash. It seems that you could extend the switch wiring and cut them into the doors, where they belong. What do you guys that installed this kit think?

I got the factory kit when I bought my truck a few weeks ago, but they had to order it. Stopped by the dealership on Monday, and the kit is on "indefinite backorder" from GM. Aftermarket is an option, but my main concerns are that it wouldn't be covered by the factory warranty and how the switches would be installed. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket kit? I tried searching for the Pacific Northwest & Check Corp that was mentioned, but didn't come up with anything.

By the way, first-time poster. I had a 2004 Yukon that I learned a ton about just searching on here, most importantly the

Castech heads TSB. Yep, I was one of the lucky ones! So I picked up the 09 Silverado. Love the truck so far, and have already learned a lot from this site. Look forward to learning more, thanks guys!

it has been a while since i did the install..so if i remember correctly there is a wire harness with about 6 wires that go to the switches. if you can solder i am sure you can extend these.

also, if you are good with a dremel, you can put these anywhere.

Does anyone have any more information on installing the GM heated seats? I have a 2008 Tahoe LT2 and want to install the factory kit. I really don't want to go to dealer. Does anyone have instructions or pictures or anything at all???

I just finished installing kit part number 19159289. This kit has the switches that replace the small storage bay to the right of the HVAC controls. There appear to be other kits that have the swiches in the doors. I fully agree the [pictures and procedures are not great. I have taken some pictures and have the instructions that came with the kit along with some of my own notes. I will be putting something together to put in the how-to section hopefully very soon.

As far as moving the switches with this kit, well, I think there are kits that supply the door mounted switches. I just can not tell what year the kit is for. The part number for the kit with the door mounted switches is: 19159306.

The switch location, i believe, is dependent on which interior that you have. The luxury dash has switches on the doors, and the true truck gets them on the center dash panel.
