Well, My Silverado Is Gone..

Well those of you that know me, know that lately money has been too tight for me. My Chevy's monthly was costing me entirely too much money & burning too much gas than I could put into it. So I bought my replacement truck on 3/29/08 & the Chevy was repo'd 4/11/08 ( which was the day my dad died.. ) And I've pretty much became a ghost on here anymore. I would still like to remain around here though when things cool down and I get my free time back, even considering my replacement truck is... the F word  I'm quite happy with my new truck now though, its doing much better on gas, and its very nice and clean inside & out, excellent condition. Best of all, I can afford to pay for it, and fuel it up. But I will miss the Chevy.

Anyways, if anyone local in Pennsylvania is near-by the State College, look out for it. Its for sale at a Blaise Alexander dealer. I wish they would post a price & pics but its out there, and it has 1,200 more miles on it than when it left my driveway  But if someone is local & actually checks it out, get a pic! and if you got time ask and see what they got to say about it. Gotta love the used car stories "a old man only towed his boat with it" :D

Darren I am sorry to see that happen, but you have mentioned that you are young and on your on. This is perfectly understandable.

I don't have much say in the matter, but I still welcome you to our forum even though you are no longer a gm owner. But hey keep your head up and get your life back in control (not saying its bad). Gas is killing me right now. I am spending about $70 a week in gas at the moment. Talk about rediculous.

Thanks guys. Yeah times have been rough but get better slowly. My Chevy was expecting $120 to fill it up weekly, I drive about 50 miles per day so that had to stop

Heres the new truck.

That sucks dude.

And yeah, you don't have to quit hanging out here. Lots of folks get by just fine here for years without owning a GM truck. Even *gasp* a moderator!

Sorry to hear it. Everyone else is right. Some guys end up with cars or other makes from time to time around here and are certainly welcome. We never know what life will throw our way, so when things get down, you have to stay positive and keep on fighting.

That sucks. I drive 74miles a day total (all highway 5 days a week) and gas up once a week for 70-80 bucks. Course my little 5.3 is getting 17.5 a tank

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. Hold your head up high good buddy, things happen for a reason.

I share the hurt at the gas pumps as well. I put $145 in my tank last week.

By the way, that Ford looks small beside that Chevy.

Sorry to hear about your loss Darren and your truck as well. I was wondering where you had run off to but we're glad you're back. You are welcome here as long as you want no matter what you drive (as long as it doesn't tick or run on rice)

Keep us posted on the mods you are considering for the new truck.

:D yep that was the plan, goodbye 3/4 ton & own the keys to a nice 1/2 ton. I like Ford & Chevy trucks equally ( but would have liked to have found a nice 5.3 ext cab Silverado ) so I just looked at nice 1500s & F150s, & whatever I liked most & could afford I grabbed. Very happy I was able to grab this F150. Rides like a cloud, and its quick & good on gas. I can only imagine what a NBS is like then

Sorry about your loss, Darren. I'm glad to see you're still around though.

It'll all work out. Just keep your chin up and keep diggin'!

Sorry to hear about your loss and financial problems. You'll probably enjoy the Ford, I've driven a few and they aren't bad at all.

Darren, I'm gonna be pissed if you stop hangin around here. Besides we are much more fun than those F**D forum guys!

Darren,

That sucks, but it's totally understandable. The person that picks up your 2500HD is one lucky dude. But at least you found a new truck with a color that is close to the badass Sport Red Metallic. I really hope you stick around; as you do contribute lots of valuable tips and information to the members of this site (myself included).

Sorry to hear about your dad. My condolences.
