Well, I finally got to make a trip up to the DMZ during my tour here in Korea. Everyone stationed in Korea should take this tour, it gives a sense of purpose as to why we're (the U.S.) still stationed here. Notice the North Korean guard standing on the steps watching us.

Whoa...that brought back some memories...I was back there in the 80's and things dont look like they've changed...keep up the good work!!

I always wondered the same about the guards at the corners of the building. We were told that they stand like that so they are partially protected if North Korean's start firing shots. All they have to do is duck back behind the building.

I know what you mean. I was there in 1995/1996. Still looks the same to me! Thanks for taking up the torch after me and Nods Dad served our time. :lol::thumbs:
