I have had my 2006 GMC Sierra Denali for just over two years now and I have just over

6,000 miles on it. Just for the heck of it I checked on trading it on a 2008 Sierra Denali.

The new Danali has a list price of $47,710.00 and they want $17,403.00 difference and

they keep the $5,000.00 rebate so that show them giving me $25,307 for my truck. I

know used truck values are way down but for that price I will keep my truck for another

year.

 

Just wanted to know if you thought that price was fair?

25G is a lot more than they would offer for it here. To get there, they have to be factoring in some of the discount on the new one. You should get 12G off the top on the new one before talking trade. Trade in would be in the 16 - 18 range here right now. I've seen quite a few go through the auction that didn't break 13 grand. You can figure wholesale less 40% right now on straight trades.

My 2007 NNBS Ext Cab with 7600 miles on it is only worth about $19-20k at the most. I still owe approx $29k on it, so I will be keeping it for a while. :seeya:

Now is a good time to hang on to the one you have. This will smooth out in time.
