I am new to owning a diesel. My 2500 usually idles at 600 rpm’s. It has been running great but for the last few months it will for no reason start idling at 800 rpm’s. Has anyone else experienced this or know why it does it?1 point

Too many personal attacks on this forum. Just like the zoo the outside world has become. We each have our own opinion. If you don't agree with mine, that's fine. State your opinion and back it up with facts that may help change my mind. There was a guy named ___slow on here that was constantly helping others and gave tons of useful information freely. His typing skills sometimes made reading his posts a challenge but once you got to know his style the information was very honest and useful. Then folks started the personal attacks about everything he posted and he left this forum for other forums. I hope they appreciate him on the other forums. I sure miss him here.1 point

Thank you for all your comments , suggestions and feedback. I decided to go with the Goodyear All Terrain Adventure size 275 65 18 w/ white letters. The installation is tomorrow.1 point

It's going to put additional stress on the transmission which equates to heat and hence an early death.1 point

Thats what I'm doing, flap delete and borla muffler. The ATAK will work.1 point

As promised. 2020 GMC AT4 5.3L Cold start up with full dual exhaust, headers to tips. 1 x-pipe, Flowmaster mufflers. Cold start to idle, thought it was done spinning down, but it actually got even a little more quiet. It’s doing well, but not quiet as aggressive as the Borla S-type cat-back. It’s in a bit of a corridor, so sound might be bouncing back a bit.1 point

I decided to bite the bullet yesterday and have the muffler deleted on my 6.2 RST. I left both flappers in and left all the resonators uncovered. Wow, this was the right decision. It sounds great on startup and acceleration but it's quiet on the highway. There is absolutely, positively no drone at any speed until around 80mph and even then, it's minimal. I may play around with the resonators soon and see what that's like but in the meantime, it sounds really really good. It finally sounds like these trucks should! Cold Start: Warm Start:1 point

Yeah that's way too much for a muffler delete. But some places will try to charge extra for those "delete pipes" even though they're unnecessary. Yours sounds great though!1 point

Bought my chrome ones off a high country truck for 200 last. Brand new 850 or 750 can't remember.1 point

Hello Ryan, meanwhile my GMC is back on the road, the Jasper transfer case is installed and everything works perfect. The picture was taken last week on a camp site in Eastern Germay about 350 miles away from home. All the details with Jasper and a very kind customer service (Thanks a lot Angie!) have made it very easy for me to order a heavy part like the transfer case from thousands of miles away from the USA. Insofar thanks to you, Ryan, for your tip. Regards Jürgen1 point

Congrats on your new 2020 Hoss. I feel the same as you regarding the noise I get from mine. I’ve put on about 6K miles towing without any issues, so I’m assuming if it were a major issue it would have shown up by now. Still love it!1 point

So I ordered my Roll N Lock cover today and was looking at the cargo manager. Like the way it integrates with the cover and has numerous locking spots and the ability to flip up or just be removed. Anyone have one and care to chime in. Cargo Manager1 point

I Switched covers to the RNL A-Series and decided to go ahead and add on the cargo management divider. It’s definitely expensive and each person will have a different tolerance for wether it’s “worth it” or not. With that said, I really enjoy it and works well for me. I also have an undertonneau storage chest so with the cargo management I now how 3 very distinct storage areas. It works really well packing for trips and keeping things organized.1 point

Had my TB in the mud twice recently. My initial impression of the DT was they were loud. I came from a set of KO2's on my 14 Sierra. I'll put up with the extra road noise for the way they handled the mud. I crawl through some pretty nasty muddy ruts at our hunting lease. The DT's performed better than the KO2's without a doubt. It’s not about being able to afford it. The point is if a truck costs $40 to $60 thousand dollars. It’s should last longer than what his dash is doing to him. I have detailed vehicles for the past 11 years. I use a tornado car cleaning gun with a 4 to 1 ratio of simple green and I have NEVER ran into a plastic piece doing this. It needs to be replaced under factory warranty. Debating on moral or affordability is just a way for you to try and start an argument. Go watch an episode of South Park and relax.1 point

Nothing money can't fix. This one is nice...... https://www.ebay.com/itm/274472453540 I've always been a fan of the El camino. A buddy had a 69 with a 396 and it would roast the tires on demand. He also had a 1960 he made into a lifted 4 wheel drive. It was pretty cool. This was back in the eighties when guys were putting Vega bodys on Bronco frames. And station wagons on pickup frames.1 point

All depends on driving conditions and personal preference. I drive in a lot of dust for work. Clean my dry air filter 1-2 times a year and change my cabin air filter every fall, whether I drive 25k a year (I used to) or 12k a year (as I do now).1 point

Factory Trail Boss suspension. 1.25" BORA spacers. 35x12.5 BFG KO2s. Removed mud/aero flaps. Removed front wheel well brackets. Pinned back front wheel well liners with self tapping screws. Almost no rub. Tire kisses felt liner at full lock. Thanks to @Ryguy and everybody else who posted on the forum.1 point

For a tool like you I will come back. You obviously wanted me to as you quoted me on here knowing I would get a notification. So here is your reply. Yes I am on a public forum. But most people (like myself) come to places like these for advice, idea's, bounce thoughts around, find a good deal on parts, figure out how to DIY and to maybe find something they never thought to ask. Then there are trolls and idiots that either are having a slow day or maybe they have shitty lives and they have nothing better to do that turn the post or comment 180 degrees for their own enjoyment. For example me saying that for what I paid I expect more than something that looks so cheap and it got turned into comments about affording the truck LOL. Anyways. How did you say it "Grow some skin" LOL... are you 10? Take care and all the best. I really do hope you enjoy your truck they are a great truck (with some cheaply made parts inside).1 point

My friend just put 35x12.50R18 BFG KO2 (34.50x12.50R20) tires on her stock 18” wheels with no lift or leveling kit yet with very little to no tire rub. I just put 285/65R20 BFG KO2 (34.50x11.50R20) tires on my stock 20” wheels with no lift or leveling kit yet with very little to no tire rub. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Glad to hear. My truck has not had the 74 to 85 vibration since I tightened the hell out of my u-bolts a good while back. I added the clamps afterwards just to see what they would do and really made it ride much better, so Iam leaving them on.1 point
