New Tires And Wheels Installed

I finally got my Toyo Open Country A/T 285-70/17 load range E tires on, along with the GMC Sierra takeoff wheels I bought on ebay. The stock Chevy rims look dorky to me.

 

After a couple days of driving, I think the ride quality is better than the P265-70/17 OEM Goodyear Wanger AT/S tires. I think thats due to the taller sidewall.

 

It's also noticeably quieter than the Goodyears.

Looks really good!! The 285s look great on there, I wish I would of gotten them besides the 275s i got.

wow looks much better. I too hated to stock rims that came on my SL Sierra so I made them put those on before I left the lot. Looks 100x better IMO

Did you adjust your bilsteins higher? I remember you said your struts were at the first seat, did the 285s fit or did you have to go up higher?

 

Looking at your truck definitely makes me want to get that camper shell I've been thinking about. Looks good.

The shocks are still at the first seat above the bottom. I haven't detected any rubbing yet. I can lock the wheel and they don't rub on smooth surfaces.

 

I can hardly live without a shell on a truck, for my uses.

Thanks guys. I install that rear swaybar this weekend, see Justin for a custom tune tweak on Monday, then change the oil one last time before I go on a 4-5K mile hunt trip.
