Odd, Static Current Draw

Suffering with a parasitic draw i just can't find, I've gone through all the fused circuits (that i could find). It's not in a switched circuit either because it does with the key off and all lights off. There's no stereo or any other accessories..

I'm thinking it's something with a direct link to the battery at all times, a resistive circuit of some type as a fused circuit would blow and open the circuit. I'm wondering if the VCM vehicle control module has a direct link to the battery and could it malfunction enough to cause the substantial draw yet operate normally.

It takes 2-3 days of not driving and it's dead in the water, no lights, no nothing. What EXACTLY does the VCM do, is there a page on the internet that breaks it down so i can understand it and possibly bypass it or build my own Module to perform the same function as the factory unit. WTH does it control ???

AFAIK, everything is fused so if you pulled each fuse and tested the amperage draw across the sockets and did not find it, I'd try the alternator. Try removing the wire and testing the draw there.

By VCM I assume you mean the BCM, or body control module, as opposed to the PCM, Powertrain control module..AKA the ECM

The BCM controls all the stuff on the inside of the vehicle, lights, radio, buzzers etc...

I would go more with what Greg said about the alternator. That or the terminals are corroded, or your battery is toast. Clean your battery terminals, get the battery load tested and than check for a draw at the alternator.

thanx guys, i will check out the alternator

So, is it that the batter is dead in 2 to 3 days?
