It really really really depends. If you can afford to go 7.5 and are really thinking about it and understand the mpg you will be losing then go with 7.5 because if you only go 5 you will always be wanting or wishing you had gone bigger

If you think you want 7.5" and 35's now, you will want 10+ inches and 37's later. Go with door # 2.

Go with what YOU want and can afford... handling, tires, mpg... then you can and will enjoy the hell out of it.

i definitely like the 7.5" look. anyone know what my mpg would be if i did go that high?

I've got a 6" BDS, 1.5 Zone, running 305/70/18 (35x12.50) and I'm getting 12.5 city driving. I've got the 3.73 gears and the Diablo Predator 87 Octane Tune.

remeber the costs when the suspension starts wearing out quickly also, i love lifts but i sure as shit don't want to be replacing ball joints often

The majority of lifts on the market other then your little spacer and body lifts, use a sub frame and keep the ball joints in normal specs.
