hey i have a 2010 seirra 1500 ext cab short box and i have been looking for a lift kit. i have been looking at the Ready Lift 4" SST lift kit. Does anyone know any good places where i could find this kit for a good price?

Do some searching through this forum go with true suspension lift like BDS or Rancho. The Readylift kit is a waste of money.

most people that go with a 4" kit very shortly after will and do wish that they had gone with a 6" kit. some of the better 6" kits are: Superlift, BDS, RCD, Fabtech (about 7-8"), Pro Comp, and there are also other.

i got my kit from www.ultimateautoaccessories.com for $1800 shipped and that came with bilstein shocks, superlift leaf spring packs, and superlift coil bodys.

becuase that kit will cause your TR angles to be terrible. the kit lifts your front end 4" without the help of new knuckles. so your putting a lot of stress on the tie rod's and lower control arm BJ's. if you want a kit that big you should go with a "real" lift kit. that kit is just a glorified leveling kit.

+1. When spending $1000, what's a few hundred more for a well engineered kit that will maintain proper geometry. Read through the link that Matt posted.

im asking because i got a really good deal on some rims and tires 295/55-20 nitto trail grapplers on eagle alloys series 063 chrome for $600!! (the guy was getting divorced and just needed money fast). so im trying to find what would be the best way to make them work on my truck.

thanks for the info!! what do you guys think of the Rough Country 5" lift kit?

Here are a few pics of my 2010 ext. cab with the 5" rough country kit. I also have 305/55R20 trail grapplers.

it's a good budget lift kit. i got it for 800 shipped to texas. there are some better kits out there for double the price if you really want to drop the cash on it, which I did not. Rough Country has done a lot of revamping of their product line compared to their old crap. The kit went in with no issues, and I like the way it sits minus the slight rake it has in the front.

the 5" RCX kit is leaps and bounds better than the 4" Readylift (which i wouldnt even classify as a "lift kit"...its a leveling kit...)

for just under a grand... its definitely worth a look if you dont want to shell our 1500-2000 for the rancho or bds

I have yet to hear anything bad about the RC 5" kit. It was just their 3" kit that was trash.

and the 7.5" ain't that grand either as it just drops everything 5". it's basically just the 5" kit with a 2.5" spacer.
