Hey Im new from Colorado! Hope to learn alot about my new truck. I just bought a 06 GMC 2500HD crew cab 4x4 with the 6.0L. I really like the truck i just need to get some snow worthy tires on it. Any suggestions? i am thinking at least 285's with the factory wheels but how will that effect mileage? or 265's? the stock 245's aren't the best for the interstate because i have 4.10's and i turn about 2600 RPM at 75-80. Any info will help. I love the look of the 285's but think the 265's will help my mileage the best. I also do plan of getting a diablo sport tuner or a black bear tune in the near future so any advice is much appreciated and i will also utilize the search button!

Thanks guys this forum is full of tons of great info! anyone run 285's with 4.10s? trying to get rough fuel mileage numbers with the proper calculations.
