This might seem like what everyone is wanting to do. Well my brother wants to drop it back to stock height with a level front and back to 33's How hard is it to take from a lift to a stock height?

It's about as hard to remove as it is to install. Does he have all of the factory parts? Whey on earth did he buy it if he wants a stock one?

If all the parts are there, as stated, not that bad. But why?!?!?! Find a truck without the lift. There are a million to choose from.

 

Another option would be to put in smaller rear blocks, lower the front by de-cranking on the torsion bars and install 33" tires. That front end looks like it's over cranked anyways.

Yeah he got a truck that he loves the look of but its eating gas bad. So the tires need to be smaller and that would start to look odd with a 6" lift. So...might have to buy all stock parts or exchange with someone who has the same truck.

I know you didn't ask me, but right now I'm getting 12.0 - 12.5 mpg with my stock height, stock tire size. Just remember that driving conditions can affect the mpg's as much as a lift or larger tires.

Dang! I get 15.5 roughly and I know I could do better than what I currently get

Yeah, and if this tank keeps going like it looks like, this next one looks like it's going to be even worse. My problem is that I moved and all my driving is 35mph or lower, that with 3:42 gears sucks real bad.

That truck is beautiful!!!! but yeah gas mileage is a problem,I say keep it as it is and buy a second hand honda?

Anyway my truck just leveled gets 14mpg.

wow i have same gears with 33s and leveling and never see below 14 normally, and on highway get 16. I 90% drive around town with 35-45 mph.

What was he expecting when he bought the truck; good gas mileage? IMO I think he should just sell it and buy something that sits stock. Seems like everyone is getting low gas mileage. I get 15 in the city and 18.5 on the highway and I have a 2 inch leveling kit, 3 inch body lift, and 33 inch tires... I don't drive like a grandpa either.

I get as bad as 10.7 and as good as 12 depending on how I drive. That is all city though. I plan on regearing in the coming months.

Tell him to just take the money he would spend on new tires and lowering the truck and crap and get some 4.56's or maybe 4.88's. Hell even 5.13's might help! But he will regret lowering it so just re-gear or sell it.
