Get Out And Vote!

I just want to remind everyone today is election day and you should make sure to get out and vote before the day is over. As Americans it is both an honor and a priveledge to have this oppurtunity and it shouldn't be taken for granted. PLEASE DO NOT DISCUSS POLITICS/VIEWS/CANDIDATES IN THIS THREAD. This is simply a reminder to take advantage of one of our many rights as Americans. Have a good day.

Although I believe every American citizen should have the right to vote, I think Hank Hill says it best. "I just think if you don't read the newspaper, and the only TV you watch is the MTV, then you shouldn't be allowed to vote." Seriously though I agree with Matt.

It's the people who don't vote because they are too lazy or don't think any good can come from it that I'd like to ship down to Mexico and put in the middle of those drug gang wars.

Then you should never rejoice or complain about anything when it comes to any action that Government takes at any level. After all, you've chosen not to care about voting, so you don't care about the outcome. And to think there are places in this world that people would love to have the chance to vote and have a say in how they will live their lives, yet they don't have the opportunity to vote.

 

You have a good life in this country because of this right that has been protected and preserved for you. Apparently other US citizens care more than you to exercise that right.

 

Have a good life just going with the flow and not making any ripples.......

I find it kind of ironic that people have such animosity towards others who express their freedom to CHOOSE not to vote. Isn't this their right? Kind of any oxymoron to "force" someone to vote on the premise that its their "right" to vote, isn't it?

 

I don't care who votes and doesn't vote since we live in a country where we're free to make that decision. What I do care about is that those who vote are educated about what they're voting for since pulling that lever has a direct effect on the other citizens of our country. $.02
