a) the reputation - chevy is known for being tough, they don't need flashy commercial hype to try and convince me of that

b) the 6 speed was sooooo smooth

c) it is comfortable - i drive alot and the chevy was much more comfy than the competition

d) the G80 locker - my previous titan didn't like steep slick boat ramps and i felt the locker would really help out there.

The one feature I miss ... The under the Hood Light. Especially the one on that you could remove, and bring all around your vehicle to change a flat. Then just wind it back up, into it's holder ... Had it on my 1989 Chevy Sportside ... :)

Feature my wife loves the most ... Heated Windshield Washer Fluid ... yeah, there maybe a recall, but she's keeping it. They don't tell you the vehicle costs $60K, and your wife will blow through about $1K a year in washer fluid!!!!

Gentlemen,

It surprises me that no one has mentioned the G 80 locking axle. Is it that it works so well and transparently that we don't appreciate it. I really like that locker.

I have to agree with you! While I was reading this thread I was thinking the exact same thing.

I also like the Auto 4x4, the Z71 rims, the powertrains, the reputation (no flashy commercials needed to convince me of this either) and the overall look of both the Chevy's and GMC's.

Oh I forgot to mention OnStar. I have the directions package which comes in very handy as I do a lot of camping all over the province. They update it constantly and a friend of mine recently had a condo built in a brand new subdivision and he was one of the first half a dozen or so in the area and I used OnStar to find it and it took me right there no issues. So that was pretty damn good proof to me that they update it. Also if I'm driving somewhere and want quick directions I don't have to pull over to the side of the road to look it up on the map or fumble with a GPS unit to get it to tell me where to go. Their customer service in my experience is top notch too.

Little off topic but I love them chevy sports and 454ss back in the 90s I dream about them trucks love em. I don't own one but own a 94 that red with grey interior but its extended cab. Would I look dumb if I did and exact clone of one down to the rims tires and options sept being an extended cab. I no its off to pick a bit. But I love how my extended cab doors on my 2013 open up 90degrees love it I wish GM never went away from it the doors get the f out a your way when you want to get stuff out of the back seat.
