Is there any good aftermarket front brake rotors for my 07 nnbs? I had the rotors turned after only 13,xxx miles and at 30,*** miles.im on my second set of rotors(oem) and going thru the same thing with these too.i do mostly highway driving and in town as well, but i dont think i need to resurface my rotors that often.

All this talk about replacing rotors with low mileage has just convinced me that I made the correct decision when I oprdered my truck with the max trailer package that has 4 wheel disks. My 2001 has 229,000KM and still on the original front rotors and brake pads! Plus, today I just replaced my friend's rear drum brakes on her 95 Suburban and now I remember why I really don't like drum brakes!

They keep getting warped,i dont tow or haul.so i take them back to the dealership to have them inspected and they tell me that its normal for a truck to need resurfacing more than a car would, wtf! I think its time for a change in dealership. But anyway i just dont need the headaches no more.

I've been having the same problem with my '08. The '07 I had was the exact same way. The rotors are cheap and complete shit. My dealer resurfaced mine twice also but even if they offered to replace them, I wouldn't have taken them up on the offer since the same junk would be put back on. After the winter is over, I'm changing over to PowerSlot rotors and Hawk LTS pads. GM's OEM rotors are worthless....nothing like the ones on my '02.

Must be luck of the draw. 26k miles and smooth as glass. I tow on pretty regular basis too...

Same front brakes. You're putting the same force to the front rotors with rear disk or drum.

I had my rotors resurfaced at 3k miles and the dealer replaced them at 11,500 miles because GM now considers the rotors a consumable part and would not be covered beyond 12k miles. As far as I'm concerned, that's 12k miles per set. :driving:

I've got nearly 19k now and I think I'm just starting to feel them warping. I'll probably replace them this summer as well.

On a side note, it's not just the trucks. I had a 2004 Malibu and the rotors were resurfaced twice and finally replaced under the 60k mile warranty I had. They were warping again when I traded it in for my truck near 80k.

So strange how it's hit and miss...my last '08 had perfect brakes, 45K not one issue and they would put you into the windshield with a tap. Waaay better than the several GMT800's I've owned. My current '08 has the shudder, squeaks, and poor braking performance.

Since I upgraded to 17's to 20's inch rims, should I upgrade to a bigger rotor? I was gonna get some PowerSlot rotors with Hawk pads. Get same size as oem or get bigger ones??
