Interesting. I bought my '05 Crew with almost 100K on the odo, and the display showed less than 100 hours.

I just figured that the previous owner had installed a tune into the PCM, and had reflashed it back to stock before he sold the truck.

Mine just reset itself to 28 hrs and at 143,000 kms. I thought it was a Christmas gift and someone forklifted a new motor under the hood.

Yeah, mine is on 300 ish hours right now, 104k miles. Just waiting for the reset anytime now. It's been as high as ~2k hours before.

Too bad the odometers could not auto reset, my insurance company would love that one (lol).

Same thing happened to my 2006 Chevrolet 2500HD. One day outta the blue I had 47 hours when the last time I check was over 800 hours.

I've owned 3 GMT-900 trucks and none have ever had a issue with the hourmeter resetting. I guess I have been lucky so far. :driving:

I find it would be nice to know the engine hours . Most heavy equipment is measured by engine hours .

right, for maintenance. they dont have odometers. I just dont see the need for it on a pick up.
