Looking at picking up some storable food for emergency's (mainly earthquakes) and was looking at e-foods direct. Anyone ever order from them? Are there any better ones out there? What do I need to look for?

Thanks,

Can't go wrong with some soup. Good for a year or more and probably more filling that most of those insta-meals. Oh, and much cheaper and easier to get.

MRE's

MRE is short for Meal, Ready-to-Eat, which is an individual, self contained field ration in lightweight packaging used by the military to provide food and nutrition to its members in combat or field conditions where food was not readily available. MRE meals are perfect for food storage and emergency situations.

Bush's Baked beans....I just started eating these, and they are the shit.

Yeah if you can find some MRE's That would be good...and basically anything canned.

Don't forget to bottle up some water. Boil it first and drop a treatment tab in it. Keep as much as you have room for on hand. Water could be like gold in a disaster.

eat the neighbors

I thought about that, but after eating a few of them I'll get the shakes. :dunno:

Tanked_darren,

Must be nice to live at home, You're parent's won't tell you this but they spit in your food and want you to get off your @$$ and get out of their house.

Why not also get yourself a big thing on meal replacement protein shake that you can just mix with water, they are quite filling and healthy, obviously you will need to store water as well though.
