2011 Silverado 3500hd Diesel 4x4

My truck came in last night, I picked it up last night after work. First impression is that, wow this thing has a great ride, I expected it to be much stiffer and bumpier like my 2002 GMC 2500HD. Second thing is that there is a serious motor with a wall of torque. I had an 8.1 in my 2002 and this thing is in a whole different league, (not to take anything away from the 8.1, I love that motor!) Third thought, wholly crap did I really just spend that much money on a truck? Hehe, yes I did, my Corvettes, and Camaros come and go, but I keep my trucks a long time.

 

Looking forward to doing some stuff to it. I want to get LineX in the bed soon, and tint the windows. Not sure if I will get new wheels and tires or just tires on these wheels, I like the look of a more aggressive tire. Anyway, I am really impressed with this ride. I will now attempt to post pictures lol.

What the hell is that bed size!? I had the long bed in my 08 2500 Duramax but that thing looks like a size XLT! (Extra Long Thing!)

Word of advise though, keep the Michelins. You WON'T be disappointed. I have the same model on my truck and love them. Lost less than 3/32 of tread depth in 36,000ish miles and they have great traction.

They did not have a bigger one in stock, so you had to settle for this one?

 

 

You will find that at times it is easier to back into parking place. I drove a similar size Ford crew cab before and it had the turning radius of an aircraft carrier.

Haha, thanks. It is a standard long bed. It is a very long truck, which is fine. I do not use my trucks for daily driving. I will put 8-10k a year on it. I picked up a drywall lift today and the guys at the rental place did not want to scratch the bed, I just threw the thing in the bed scratching the hell out of it . . ITS A TRUCK!!! Plus I am getting a spray in bedliner on Monday
