Ebony Interior

Looks like the dealership is going to replace my ebony cloth interior in my 2010 CrewCab.

I really prefer cloth over leather, but GM does not have another cloth option. Suffering from the usual lint and fabric wear issues.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket cloth replacement option for the truck or am I stuck with going the leather option? (they are willing to do Katzkin if that is what I pick)

FYI the 2010 cloth seats are 100X better than that of previous years (I have an 08 Tahoe that is awful)

That statement is true but the 2010's still suck!........My father hs an 08 V-Max and his interior cloth is terrible, mine comes in a very close second. To fix this, I will be purchasing quality seat covers (probably the GM ones) in the near future.

On a side note, my 2001 Silverado interior cloth was excellent. Don't know what made them switch to this crap.

Why is there anymore discussion after this? I'm not a big fan of leather, leather in the south=sweaty crack, but I would without a doubt do the Katzkin upgrade. That stuff is awesome

I have a 2010 and everything sticks to the seats.

What will the dealer cover?

Do they replace it with the same fabric?

Dropped the truck off yesterday, dealer is installing factory leather at no charge. Met the regional GM Manager at the dealership, she took one look at the seats and said no problem on replacement. Not sure if it is only this dealership, but they mentioned something about an airbag waiver if I went with Katzkin, so I went with the factory leather.

Goodbye to the lousy cloth, fabric wear and lint. Now to find a seat cover to avoid frying my skin on leather in the Texas summer. Never been a fan of leather, so this will be interesting to see if I like it or not.

GM stands behind their products, have to like that.

Should have it back in a week or two, they had to order the seat covers.

That's amazing service.

Do you have any pictures of your cloth with everything sticking to it?

I wonder how bad it has to be.

My problem with the seats was the fabric wear. The lint was bad, and the GM rep actually made a comment about the lint.

Yes the lint was an issue, but not my primary "complaint" with the seats.

Sorry, I did not take a picture of the cloth, but the GM rep did to sent to her folks.

Wet Okole neoprene seat covers are amazing. They have extra pad built into them so they are super soft.

I have the Hatchie Bottom neoprene covers and they are really nice too. I love not worring about my seats if they get wet or dirty.

Anyone know if they will do anything with 2011? I hate these seats soooooo much. I can't take my dog with me anymore. If she even walks to close to the truck the seats look like there made of fur......

I would love to know where your dealership is, I hate my seats too!

My 08 was terrible when I first had it but I found that over time it's not really that bad anymore. Not perfect but not bad at all. Nothing like it was new.
