Well found my truck on blocks out side of my apartment the other day. I guess a bunch of GM trucks in the area had their rims stolen as well. So what should i buy with my insureance money?? I would love some good pics of white trucks with chrome or black rims and some nice off road tires, as well as any sugestions.

Thanks for the input!

Oh and i do have a 2 inch level.

Just wondering, where are you located?

I had my factory 20's stolen off my truck last November and at the time the detective said they were investigating 20 other wheel thefts off GM trucks in the area.

yeah hindsight is 20/20, or in this case a set of factory 20's... But they wernt chrome, my truck is dirty, i really would never have thought my rims would get jacked like this. however they did, and I would like advice about NEW wheels, not what i should have done. Lesson learned, have wheel locks.

Oh and i live in Omaha Ne, but not anywhere near a bad neighborhood. Odd situation

Wheel locks are the refugee of assholes to be honest, so you put them on but if you get a flat unless you want to wait for a flat bed you have to keep the lock in the car so that translates into stolen wheels and busted glass and basically goodbye whatever else you had in the truck because once they are in why not grab everything? If you don't want your stuff stolen basically all you can do is buy an underground bunker or hire retired marines to keep watch on your haus and stuff otherwise people are just dirtbags these days.

So ive been searching around and i think i found the 18's i want, however now im wondering how big of a tire i can fit? I know thats a beat horse but I wonder if a 34.4inch Terra Grappler will be too big? most things ive read say with the 2'' level the most we can go is a 33'' what do you think?!

I have 275/60/20 which are exactly 33in on 9in wide +14mm offset rims and I had to trim the bottom of the front fender liner and if you back up and incline with a few people in the truck it still rubs so there is just no way you can get anything bigger without serious trimming on just a level

You're looking at the 295/70/18's? Not going to happen on a 2" level without cutting metal. Thats almost a 35" tire. People are running 6" kits to not rub on it. Stick to a 285/65/18.

I added a 1.5" BL to be safe on 285/65/18 Trail Grapplers. The Terra Grapplers in that size measure out to a bit less in size but with a 2" level you are stuck to a 275/70/18, 285/65/18 unless you want to hack up your truck.

Got new wheels, 20'' XD's with 275/60/20 Terra Grapplers. I like the 33 inch tire, looks and rides better then the lame stock tires. I would have liked to gone with a wider tire but decided for what i do that these were the best choice. No rub! but havent tried to rock climb yet

Oh and all four of my brakes are damaged too. I guess they cant support the weight of the truck... go figure...

Walked out to my truck on a monday morning, this is what i saw

Finally got new wheels, but now its back to the shop for new brakes

Truck looks good with those wheels and tires, and sorry to hear about your theft. Too bad you didn't catch them in the act at night. Just sayin'.
