Oh Crap!

Turned into a pole that was more in the street than away from it. Guess after having this truck over two years, I finally rubbed the newness off of it. Hope it doesn't cost too much to get that erased.

Got three estimates for repair...all over $2000. They all said the same thing too...it was better to cut out the affected area and replace it than to repair it because of the panel's contours. I cleaned off the transfer and it looks much better. I might just leave it alone for now.

I feel your pain. A couple years ago my truck rudely decided to tell me it don't like SUVs ....

 

 

1 new fender and torsion bar later tho it was all good

I feel your pain. I did something similar, forward and lower than yours and not quite as bad but it is my 1st boo-boo. I was able to get inside the panel and massage out most of the dent. That metal is pretty soft. I was amazed a how malleable it was.

 

If you pull your bed-liner out, you may be able to smooth out 60% of that dent by hand..... just pushing, not pounding. You won't eliminate the creases but you may be able to push the sheet metal back out so that it is not as noticeable.

I feel your pain. I dinged one of those yellow metal covered cement poles you see around fire hydrants in a parking lot. Damn post was so short that I couldn't even see it.

A sliding electric gate hit my truck about 2 weeks ago. Had truck for 2 months. It's got 2000 miles on it.

 

I was borrowing a trailer to help my sister move a deck I found for her. I saved her about $500 in wood, as the deck was free if I could move it.

 

When returning the trailer I borrowed, his gate closed on my truck.

 

I don't understand Karma sometimes. I was helping my sister to save money, dang near threw out my back lifting the stupid deck, and the fates reward me with a crease and ding on my new truck.
