I hate the built-in convex mirrors like Ford has started to use. When I first saw one in a photo I thought it was a terrific idea but after driving Fords with them (passenger cars) I hate it because they are not adjustable, it moves with the main glass.

what is a convex mirror?

They're the domed mirrors that give sort of a fisheye look but it shows a bigger area. Sometimes they're called a blindspot mirror. They're the stick on things that you see at places like Autozone or in your case, Canadian Tire.

I scanned thru and didn't see anyone else mention about the overhead sunglass compartment. I went to the auto show and compared the big 3 trucks and both ford and dodge upper level trims offered an overhead sunglass cubby. GM used to have this, so what gives. For me it's the little things like that where the difference is made. In addition, I'd like to see the following:

No Afm!

rear disc brakes standard

rear wheel wells lined

4WD idiot light in cluster for all trucks, not just manual t-case.

True cargo lamp with it's own switch.

cooled leather seats available on SLT

Better quality alloy wheels that don't peel after 1 year

Manual transmission. (Better gas mileage, better engine braking, more durable, more power to the wheels, lighter weight, less expensive. Oh, and more fun to drive!)

Would like to see a manual trans option myself, but only because of the last reason... :D

Better mileage isn't true these days with the 6-speeds and even more that automakers use, same for engine braking at least on the GM 6-speeds. Can't speak much for durability but I can't say I've read of any issue with the 6L80 or 90. Fun to dive I'd agree with on a car but manual truck transmissions have always sucked in that regard. Plus, automatics are faster in the real world every time (ie we can't thrash the hell out of our stuff like magazines do to get their 0-60 and 1/4 mile times).

-4 wheel disc brakes

-No AFM (probably won't happen)

-HVAC vents in the back seat

-More powerful engine choices

Out of curiosity, why don't you like AFM?

That's an easy answer...Uses oil, kicks in and out making the truck shutter, makes exhaust sound like a Honda Civic, get better mpg's with it tuned out.

These trucks are V8's and that's how they should perform.

An actual insulated cab- You can tell how quiet an interior will be by how solid the doors sound when shutting, dads Ford is so damn quiet on the inside

No AFM

HVAC vents in the rear seat

Cooled seats option in more trim levels

More room in interior, especially the rear seat

Better stereo setup- Quality, sound, Ford Sync type system

Little things that add up to be big- lights in window switches, sunglasses holder, updated interior ALL AROUND etc.

More Power with smoother output

Use quality made products & finishes on everything

Can't wait to check out the new platform. The only way for GM to keep me in one year is to get better, otherwise Ford will get me back. Come on GM :driving:
