Beaded up some New Rubber

Hi all, Picked up 4 Nitto Trail Grappler 295/70/18's to replace the 4 Nitto Terra Grappler's 285/65/18 on my Silverado. Had to trim about 1 inch with a 2 inch RC level kit. Pretty good fitment. Very small rub under moderate wheelin, Might trim back another inch, but dont do much wheelin these days so its not a big deal. I liked the 33's, but they still looked like Oreo cookies on rims. Got the " feel goods " back after mounting these tires up. Here are a few pics to share.

Those trail grapplers look like a sweet tire. How do they perform in the dirt?

Not sure yet. Only had them on a week. Took the truck to a buddy's farm Monday and did alittle wheelin. The ground is pretty frozen, hard pack right now, so I was more interested in clearance and traction. They flat arse, hook-up. Never spun a tire. Got into some pretty steep trails, gullys, and one section of creek bottom. Went thru it all rather slow to avoid that little rub. I hunt and fish alot, and will be trimming back alittle more to get rid of that little rub at full turns, under flex.

those look mean, that is some serious meat. do those come out to a 34?

They tape measured out at 34.5 just like there website stated. Was alittle leary stuffing that much tire under there, but overall, besides the mileage drop and possible tune investment, I couldnt be happier. It looks and does what I envisioned when I bought the truck.

nice man, my dick cepeks are pushin 70k kms on them now. been kinda lookin for a set of 33x13.5R18s. but anyways i kinda looked at those too, pricy but i wonder how they will do. ill be contacting you in a year or so LOL...you have any snow around there by any chance? like enough to test them in at least 12"-24" of powder?

Thanks for the kudo's gang. Man 70k on the DC's. They must be about bald. Still waiting for some snow down here in corn land. Been one wierd winter. 1 little flurry so far. First good snow, and I'm heading out to a buddy's farm to chew on some cornfields and creek bottoms.

Truck looks really good with those tires man!!

I went with 285/70/17's on mine, because i didn't wanna cut fenders, but those look a lot bigger. very nice.

ya i know, it has been weird up till couple days ago. in the last 48 hours we got about 3 feet of snow LOL...and no 70k on the tires they are at about 60% id say...DC's are awesome tires. amazing tires actually.

All you have is a Leveling Kit on your truck with the 295s? I just purchased some Cooper ST Maxx's..295/70/18s...I love the way your truck looks with that size tire on it.

Had Trail Grapplers on my Jeep in 35/12.5/17, great tire handled everything i put them through except a pair of needle nose pliers someone dropped in the road lol
