I'm surprised I don't see more complaints about the "auto text" feature not working on GM vehicles - the song name does not scroll across the display (when it's a long name that does not fit on the display of their standard radio). The manual describes how it is supposed to work, but it does not function as the manual states. Doesn't this bother anyone? If so, any luck getting GM to correct it?

Welcome to the forum. During the free xm period I only turned on the disney channel for my kids. So I never used it enough to noticed anything.

Some XM tuners are limited to 16 characters. Our trucks are one of them.

Amazing that that the radio in my commuter car (an 09' Cobalt) works as it is supposed to. The radio in my 09' truck did not and nor does the radio in my 11' truck. Probably a firmware issue and as such could be programmed at a dealership, if GM fixed the problem.

I also noticed that pushing the 'info' button does not hold the 'info' display from XM channel to XM channel, like it does on my Cobalt. Anyone else see this?

Wow - can't say as I ever noticed that. I did notice the lack of an underhood light, cigar lighter, console tray, footwell lighting, wheel opening moldings, a-arm splash shields and a few other things though.....

Getting an Advent OGM1 will solve this

Does your ogm1 scroll on the xm page? Mine doesn't it just cuts off. I thought it would be nice if it scrolled. It scrolled on the factory radio.

Nope, at least mine does not scroll at all on the factory radio. Just sits there and says XM chan 37 or something helpful like that. Nothing to really scroll when it does that. So to get a display of what is on I have to press the info button. When I push the info button, nothing scrolls then either so I guess it is cutting off what is coming from the XM tuner or the tuner is only sending a certain number of characters. Not that big of deal so I probably won't swap out the radio unless it fails. I just thought I would mention it because the OGM1 owners were discussing XM tuner limitations.

Wonder if GM is using different XM tuners?
