Walked around it about 20 times while putting a new grille on the Bird. Pontiac really couldn't have obstructed a few bolts any more than they did. I refused to take off the fender for one bolt, since you have to already take off the bumper,

, so its not doing much right now(eacg grille half is secured in 5 spots, so one won't matter much for a 2 pound piece of plastic, and that part rests against the headlight assembly, so I don't even know why they thought the bolt needed to be there anyway!)

Cleaned the interior and quick detailed/spray waxed the bird also. Then took a bunch of pics.

Next up will be rear seat belts.

Quit your complaining. I had to remove my entire front end to put in the heritage grille

Towed the boat down to the river earlier to do some catfishing with a couple buddies. Took my dads truck since mine has some sort of bearing going out, again. Hes got the first model year that they came out with the 6 speed. Oh man, that thing tows it with ease compared to my truck. Next truck is deff. a 6 speed for me!

New engine air filter for the truck and wives car, both were far too dirty.

Also replaced the engine compartment lightbulb but it still doesn't light up. Something is loose inside the plastic thingy where the bulb goes in so I'll need to take that apart and check it out (this was wiped clean, looks new!).

Also topped off the windshield wiper fluid on both since its monsoon season and its always needed.

And just did a general check up on both cars.

Look up a youtube video on it. You clean the contact points with some sandpaper and it makes it work again. Did mine a month ago and it's still working. It's just a weight that slides it to close the circuit

Thanks for the tip, hopefully it'll work again.

And I forgot to mention that I also bought a magnetic drain plug for the engine oil, with 3 additional rubber washers to avoid leaks.

And last night I did more research on the shock replacement process since its something I've never done before and the fronts still have me uneasy. I guess its just something about those springs, even if they don't need to be touched when replacing the struts. They slide right out IIRC.

This project will hopefully be done in a month or so, even if I could have used new shocks for my summer road trip.

Dude shocks are the easiest thing you can do. Unless you count floor mats or something.

Shocks, brakes, and oil changes are the three easiest things you can do to a vehicle IMO. Edited by Daryl Z71

Everyone keeps saying that so I guess it must be true. But I'm pretty visual and every damn video tutorial is of a truck with torsion bars or the gmt900 struts assembly.

And I thought floor mats were high difficulty level based on how much attention this "mod" gets in the new K2 section... lol

I have been pricing a whole LED swap for my house. I just did the garage with 5000k 14.5 watt Philips instant fit 48" T8 tubes in the garage. I like them. I need to get 4 more for the kitchen.
