What did you do with your truck/shop today

Ugh! What a joke finding a new fuel pump. ACDelco's website lists 3 parts numbers for my truck, and the dealer only lists one from my vin number, and of course it's the one that doesn't include the fuel level sensor. The other part number sounds like it'll fit my truck, but not according to the wheelbase they have listed. No idea why that matters, but okay.

Yea, it's the same mess as what the parts store comes up with on their computer. The dealer says according to my Vin # that M10101 is the part number for my fuel pump, and SK1128 is the fuel level sensor part number. Everywhere else shows 2 other pumps that according to them will work, one of those pumps includes the sensor. ACDelco.com tells me the same thing when i enter my Vin there.

 

I just played it safe, and ordered the parts from Rock Auto that matched what the dealer told me. Dealer wanted over $700 for everything, $550 if I bought it all at once, and the parts store wanted $468. I got it on Rock Auto with the lock ring from the parts store all for $370.09.

I havent been smoking. Maybe I need to start. I dont want to gove up my cluster and I sure as hell didnt want to throw away all my damn food that went bad in my fridge and freezer.

Last few days put a lot of miles on it. At least 350. Having a "staycation" since the twins aren't too fond of long road trips(one of them is running whenever he is on his feet). Drove to Muskogee on Sunday, OKC on Monday, yesterday to doctor (one has a cold), and today to the zoo.

My new to me fog/cargo lamp, and 4x4 switches came today. 4x4 switch is a spare, got it for $10. Also got some new key fob shells from EBay since mine were beat up.
