Installed new step bars, Volant CAI, replaced rotors, pads, and rear calipers; then had the truck towed to the shop to get the brakes bled properly lol. Oh, and did the data logging for my new Black Bear! Can't wait to get the tune in to see how she pulls!

Managed to change the oil after struggling with the floor jack that wouldn't release once I had the driver's side in the air. The easiest of tasks sometimes...

Just gave it a bath and quick wax. Looks so much better. When the weather starts to cool off this fall, I need to clay and wax it and detail the inside.

Mine does that all the time now for some reason

I finished tearing down the motor in my 1990. Head gaskets were fried. Then I looked at the cylinders, 3 of them had markings I could feel. So no dice, going to have to drop in a different engine.

Stroke that beast!!!

Believe me, I thought about it. But I found a crate with only 15k miles on it. The current engine saw water temps 320F+. Hot enough to melt the line for the temp gauge. The walls look discolored in a few places, and all the scoring worries me. I can't believe it ran as well as it did, considering the head gasket was completely blown out between the middle two cylinders on one side. I'd love to play with it more, but it's just not feasible.

I wouuld probably go with the cheaper route also. Is the new(er) engine an 5.7 or 5.0?

It's another 5.7. The bonus is I can get the whole truck, since I need to pilfer a door, a grille, and some other things. I can't wait to pick up all the ladies with my awesome halo headlights again!
