They make liquid bug and tar remover. Simple green might work too.

Where do you normally get Simple Green? My near by Target doesnt carry it. I used to use it for damn near everything when I lived in Florida

Old girl got a good workout towing 8500+ pounds. I finally got to use the tow haul button an man what a difference it made truck never even had to downshift going up some fairly steep hills! She towed like a champ with no shock on the driver side and three other shocks that were worn the hell out!

Tow haul just keeps it out of OD. Maybe you already knew that

Tow haul does not lock out overdrive.

Tow haul keeps a GMT 800 out of overdrive under 65 mph. Also makes it hold gears a bit longer. Changes TC lockup too IIRC. If I am towing anything heavy enough for T/H I usually pull down to 3rd anyways.

Trailer weighs around 1700ish maybe a bit more or less. Truck weighs in the neighborhood of 6500-7000 pounds.

 

My truck really made me proud that day she handled it like a champ!

It should be around 5000. My pickup weighs 5400.
