Ahh but you see.. I don't have carpeted wheel well liners and paint that falls off. I have a REAL truck. You have.. well.. a Toy truck. It's all good though.

Lol..... Brand loyalty... so retarded. All good though. I have like 6 trucks to choose from and only one isn't a GM lol... I really don't care. My "toy" costs nothing in maintenance and sees a lot rougher life than most of these supposed real trucks would ever be able to handle.

I installed the new Kenwood head unit, all except backup camera. The Bluetooth music and calling works flawlessly. Really like the UI on it. DDX373.

Threw an air filter & wipers on a '06 Impala today. Good way to get my blood pressure sky high.

Took me 30 seconds to remove the filter, and 5 solid minutes to get that damn plastic cover to align correctly. Got these little plastic pegs at the bottom that won't seat correctly until you mash the cover against the new filter - totally counter-intuitive. Same deal with the wipers - less than 30 seconds to remove, and 5 solid minutes on the first one. Instead of a pin that worked for 100 years, they use a hook - took me a bit to figure out how the hell that dumb thing went together, since the replacements were totally different than what was on there. Automakers ... always have to re-invent everything!

Boy do I hate modern cars!! Isn't a damn thing that's easy anymore. :banghead:

Now I get to figure out how to remove the seat (which has no bolts, WTF!) so I can repair whatever is bound up on the front seat motor drivetrain. Car only has 91k on it too. :shakehead:

Gave it a bath and waxed it. Man did it need it. It is actually a nice glossy black again. :)

Need to see this install of the back up camera when it's done.

Just bought a 32" led light bar and wiring harness from Amazon. I'm going to mount it behind my grille.

The plan is to dremel a spot in the tailgate spoiler for it. We'll see how it goes. I played with more of the head unit's features, it'll definitely take some time to learn it all. I already customized the home screen, I moved on all the stuff I'll actually use.

Can't wait to see it.

When he was in my truck on friday, he was asking about customization on my pioneer. I guess trying to gauge layouts on a touchscreen unit. I am curious to see how his camera comes out. I am thinking of making an under bumper bracket that bolts to the bumper where the hitch does

I spent some time with an eraser wheel getting rid of the adhesive from the Sierra tailgate badge and all the strips from the bed rail caps. Need to put those back on, but need to clean it all up first

Found out I need new torsion bars on the Chevy. Just took it in this morning, hoping everything will be good after this and won’t have to take it in for any more repairs and replacements close after. Want to focus my money on upgrades!
