Nothing yet passed my written test and was one of the best shots in the class. I shot a ruger .22 I'd like a .40 since i don't plan on carrying 24/7 more just home/travel protection

I did my class with my 9 mm. A lot of people were using .45. There was a 75 year old woman in my class using a dirty harry special. I think the only person in the 10 person class using a .40 was a guy with a glock. There was a guy with a DAO P226 using .357 and one woman using .22. I have my 1911 listed on my permit, but my primary will be a 9 mm

I carry both 9mm and a 45ACP. I carry a spare mag with the 9mm, the 45 has the stopping power I like just the gun is too bulky so when I don't feel that I can conceal I open carry. I can also open carry my 40 as that's a bigger framed pistol as well

Been carrying a Para Warthog for 4 years now. Everyone laughs (bulky is an understatement). I don't even notice it anymore. Guns%20Warthog_zps6gg5ob4v.jpg

Nice single action pistol. I want a 1911 badly.

I was looking at a Sig 1911 for a while, nice bc it comes from the factory with the night sights. The cost drove me away. One day though, one day...

The Sig models are at the top of my list too. I want their traditional reverse two tone. Most Sig 1911s have a unique slide profile that makes them not fit standard 1911 holsters. The Traditional fixes that.

9mm hollow point has plenty of stopping power(FBI did a lot of ballistic research proving it). My first purchase was a 45, but 9 is my carry pistol.

Control is half the issue, it's not just stopping someone, it's being able to hit them repeatedly if need be and NOT shoot anyone or anything else. That's something every good class will teach you, YOU are responsible for where every bullet lands. You hit an innocent person, you are going to jail and or getting sued.

The right gun will be different for everyone.
