That's a thing of beauty! Lots of zeros on the end of that bill, I bet ... :noway:

Not really....

It will look even better when it replaces this!

I miss the low end grunt those things had. If only my 5.3 could come close. Needs help - cam, performance cats, & headers should do it ... but I remember a time when ALL of that cost under $300 (minus the cats, since we'd just cut those off :) ). Plus need a tune on top of all that. Ain't happening in my lifetime.

Bet it's all of 4x that now. :nonod:

What low end power... a TBI 350 is a gutless sack and has been for decades now. However.. it makes the tuned port 350 in my Blazer feel weak and it has 4.56's behind it lol. A decent running 4.3 would walk all over that one easily. I can't be bothered with this gen 1 junk anymore beyond send it for scrap metal.

Yours must've been at the end of it's life. Mine would STOMP any car short of a Corvette off the line, anywhere and EVERY time. Wasn't a car built that could get ahead of me before the lane drop. It would leave my Silverado in the dust in a 60' drag, hands down.

Oh... for more fun my old K5's a/c of course is dead so I figured i would try and charge it. Jumpered out the low pressure switch and the compressor fired right up and sounded okay. Grabbed the old red tek and yeah... it is blowing out somewhere as quickly as it goes in. I am hoping it's the condenser but I will see.. a/c isn't priority anyway lol. LS3, 60E and axle swap is.

My mom and brother have the vortec 350s and my 5.3 stomped them when it was stock and my 305 tbi doesn't even come close and those engines aren't far off from the 350 Tbi. So I don't believe the story either lol

This deadline was a long time coming! I'm glad I had help with it. It's nice to have the steering wheel straight again!

So far it has just been a short drive home so I can't really comment on these new tires. Visually they don't seem as wide or meaty as the latitudes so the wheel wells don't look as full but it's insignificant as long as they perform as promised. They should see snow before the end of the year!

Wow people did stuff today? I drove 160 miles out to the coast where there was no cell service and had a peaceful 9 hours before deciding to drive home. My first gear is getting worse. It needs to hold out 2 more months

My dad just got the same tires for his 09 last week, said he likes them better that the ltx ms2 tires, said they ride smoother. Told him they were the same tire with a new name, he attributed the improved ride to freshly balanced tires lol they are definitely nice tires. If I could actually keep a truck stock I would have Michelin's

The mold is practically the same but the compound is new.

And I forgot to ask for the balancing weights to be installed on the inside again, I would have liked the cleaner look.
