Corey what have you noticed different with your truck.I would guess you have your BB tune installed now.

I was thinking the same :dunno: No tune yet. If I had to guess they probably were/are busy with the tune session they were getting ready for. Bad timing maybe.

Gas America off 267 and 10th street in Avon is now speedway

Wish I would of seen this. I overpaid quite a bit and paid around $3.60. I guess the prices on E-85 from station to station must fluctuate a lot more compared to gas.

Best of luck with it. Im anxious to hear about your results

Thanks! I will be sure to post them. I forget sometimes this stuff takes time

It depends on if they are buying it or the refine it themselves

Corey, I see you in the queue. Unfortunately, the multiple emails you sent, kept us from seeing the files right away, so that delayed us putting you in the queue. You will probably see the files tomorrow.

I guess probably is better than never. Seems like that email filter needs tweaking ;)

Thanks Jenna

Sadly, it is how every filter works, keeps things streamlined though, when we need to reference all details from one customer.

Thanks Jenna, I'm a little impatient at times. I appreciate your responses.

Just wanted to get the word out that I did in fact get my tune files emailed to me and installed yesterday. Since it's just the initial tune I won't say too much but so far I'm impressed. I'm also in the process of switching to E-85 and only on the beginning of my 2nd tank. So I believe my ECM and TCM are both under relearn overload right now.

The good so far:

At WOT this thing sounds like it gained a couple more cylinders. The 5.3 just sounds PISSED. Shifting under WOT especially under highway conditions seems a lot more positive, and more inside the powerband when doing so. Keep in mind my truck is totally stock other than the tune.

The bad so far:

AFM is still engaged (or at least DIC says so) and driving in the city from 0-40mph unless I'm flooring it is still kind of meh. Taking off from a stop light doesnt give me any tire smoking wheelspin but I am now feeling the wheelhop people talk of. My only concern is the G80 I've got back there in the rear. Some guys were talking about chirping tires from the 1-2 shift...some even into the 3rd (somewhere I read that, may of been a 6.2 guy) but none the less- performance is my primary goal.

So- take this all with a grain of salt fellas. I do think its worth the money and the fact that I can address these issues with Justin and work on it makes me feel 100% satisfied.

Have to ask though,

Did it cross through anyones mind during the reprogramming that "...man...I hope this truck starts afterwards.." yeah that was me. I paused and said a prayer.

Just got mine in this morning. And sent the follow-up log just now.

Definitely notice a difference. More response and more snarl from the exhaust. Cant say with absolute certainty that here is a true "performance" boost without a real way to measure but I am sure there is some.

The detonation problem I was having is much better. Next tank I am going to switch to 89 octane and see what kind of difference it makes. Mileage seems to be the same and might even be a little better since I noticed the V4 on the highway going to work seems to stick around more but I will have to go through a few tanks to know for sure.

Overall, happy with the results. Wasn't cheap but I would do it again. Cory, yes, I wondered the same thing - not so much would it start but would it blow up when driving down the road!! :omg:

Thought I would post a follow up to my previous post now that I have driven it for a little while.

I have to say, the more I drive and get use to the tune the more I really like it. At first I was focused on performance of course like everyone else which there is definitely more of. But the thing I didn't appreciate was just how "smooth" everything runs now. The powertrain just seems to work better. The tranny shifts much smoother even when just going from park to drive - no more slight bump. The engine seems to start better as well - before the tune the exhaust would sound kind of muddy with a cold start until it warned up but now it purrs right off the bat.

The detonation problem I was having was mostly gone when I installed the tune. It is pretty much completely gone now that I switched to 89 octane. Gas mileage is about the same as it was before the tune but it will still take a few more weeks before I really know for sure.

Overall, really glad I did it and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. :driving:

Thought I would update my experience as I've got the tune right where I want it now.

Justin reread the logs after the tune I installed and further made some adjustments. AFM is now disabled and the truck is now wanting to break loose in first (it nearly does) and I'm finally hearing the chirp of the tires when it shifts into 2nd. Veryyy cool. First time I've ever experienced that in an automatic. At WOT the truck is PISSED. Stock exhaust seems like it opens up and quiets right back up when I let off.

I was a little unsure if this was all worth it in the beginning but I'm very satisfied with my experience. I can't really reflect on any MPG gains because I switched to E85 and I'm only on the 4th tank now. Besides, I've been a little more into the pedal than usual so I won't expect much. I plan to take her to the track just to see what she will run. Now to decide what I'm gonna do next.....:thumbs:

Keep in mind, no two trucks are alike (you have engine, driver, modifications and gas quality/octane to contend with). Did you get an AutoCal tune? What octane are you running? Have you cleaned your MAF and throttle body?

After the computer learns the new tune, the settings should definitely be noticeable.
