LOL, I can say it is a very fun gun to shoot. Very smooth. We took it out to BLM land yesterday and had a blast, we both commented on how it was one of the best rifle purchases we made.

They have only handled my 870 and my 1911. I have only driven with the AR. Which sight is on it. Looks like EOTech. I have the EOTech EXPS-2 on mine

You get to lock the case with real locks, not stupid TSA locks. They keep a tight control of firearms in their care. I spent a lot of money on a Pelican case ($400) and it keeps t protected. Can't say I blame ya for not wanting to, I'd much rather drive places than fly.

I have been on several flights for work related reasons and haven't had a firearm misplaced. Just make sure you have a proper airline approved, lockable case to transport on the airplane.

 

I use a Pelican case with custom foam for an exact fit with my select fire Colt M4 and pistol including magazines. Not sure how much it really costs, ordered through work.

Where did you have the foam cut or did it come cut? I'd like something like that for when I go shooting. Lock it and chain it in the bed in case I stop at a gas station

For the pistol they had options for the M9/Beretta 92, 1911 and the M11/Sig P228. I got mine with the Sig cutout and all of my pistols except for the Beretta fit decently enough for transport because they're all the same size. For the rifle I got the M4 SOPMOD version, it has large cuts to clear optics and such. This is it:
