That's exactly the point. The rims don't hurt anyone. But a loud exhaust at 2am in a residential area.

 

I really don't care what people do to their cars as long as it doesn't effect me. I don't want to be woken up that early.

Yeah. People should really listen at their cars. Sometimes it sounds like someone does fart into an empty pop can.

And regarding to the rims...they should be forced to look at the car for at least 24 hrs and than think it over again. lol

The only exhaust sound I don't like is overly loud motorcycles/quads nothing pisses me off more than an obnoxious biker but a nice muscle car rumble or a properly done truck exhaust is just sexy

Yeah not a fan of big wheels on old school stuff, period. It never looks good. Old cars need sidewall.

 

And x2 on over the top exhausts. Some guy in my complex has a 05-09 Mustang that is absurdly loud and crackly. I donno, the Ford mod motors never sound as good as a nice OHV V8.

Thats not a GTO !

Its a plain old 72 Lemans with the f-41 option (GTO nose and hood).

Note the vent holes in the fenders. A true 72 GTO wouldn't have the holes.

Just the Lemans Sport with the F-41 option.

 

What kills me is that nose, hood, fenders are hard to find and fetch $1000 EACH used!

MORE if straight and rust free!

The endura bumper is another $1000 piece used. 71 & 72 only.

The 72 only grills run $300 each and the valance panel $400 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TRY and find the stuff on flea-bay!

i agree, im in the same boat. i have a low profile truck compared to the ones around me.. trucks with huge rims and tires and sirens and horns and exhausts and 18 antennas and 10,000 stickers and chrome stuff and all black stuff and tool boxes and spotlights suitable for the baja 1000... then i have a stock old 1500, but i like it.

the ford 4.6 engine sounds bad period. just dosent make a pleasant noise IMO
