HAZARD Lights BUTTON Not working!

Hey fellow truck enthusiasts, I am having trouble with my trucks Hazard Lights Button. It is stuck or something. it wont go in or out. They don't turn on or anything. My blinkers work fine, but no Hazard Flashing.

 

Any ideas as to my issue?

I have this exact same problem on my 96 k1500 if I push on it hard I can get one flasher side to work but it doesn't go down or anything.

Somtimes they stick and need to be worked back and forth to free up. I was thinking there may have also been a bullitin/recall on this. Been way to long for me to remember, hopefully someone else can chime in.

Well what would make it lock up just dirt or something?

Mine was coffee from previous owner of my old '76 Chevy. Took forever but finally got it working, switch that is, lights were a different story.

It doesn't feel gummed up so much as something solid stopping it is that how yours was
