Meant to post these up a while ago.. just a few iphone pics of the beast.

2004 Yamaha YFZ450 Limited Edition

Houser + 2 steering shaft, ProTaper Evo bars, ASV clutch handle, Stainless Clutch lines, Terry Cable Stainless Throttle,

K&N filter, Stage 3 AMF jet kit, HMF exhaust, and Parking brake delete.

I don't get to ride it as much as I used to but still fun to have around.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the base bike? Thinking about getting a YFZ. I originally wanted a Banshee, but there seem to be a lot of costs that go into getting one running well.

I love the 4x4 quads too, my favorite is definitely CanAm. I've spent a lot of hours on an Arctic Cat for work as well, but I'm not very fond of it.

i felt the same way so i bought a 4x4 and kept my Z400.. having 2 atvs is the way to go. and when 1 breaks you always have another.

thats a nice looking yfz, how long have you had it?

Maybe it's because you are at work! I loved my can-am too, but I also love my arctic-cat. They are actually a bit similar.

now there's a plan i like

Thanks.. had it for about 4 years now. My cousin bought it brand new in 04. I think it was around 6-7k at the time.. i could be wrong.

I had an Arctic Cat DVX 400 before this one. Same platform as the Z400. Loved that thing.. rolled it one too many times though haha sold that one to a friend who wanted to rebuild it.

yeah i really wanted a bigger bike like raptor or a 450 but i bought a kingquad instead and have been happy.

i like my Z, they are a little narrow stock, but i extended front like 2 inches and the rear 3 or 4. much more stable.

i ripped around on the dunes in one of those the next day i was sore as all hell, was definitely a full body workout

UGH makes me miss my '05 I just sold. That thing is awsome and you'll have a blast time after time on it. Look into Hot cams, my buddy did them before I bought it from him and it really woke it up.
