How doI get it off?

Slipped as I was applying wax on the tailgate and now have a big streak on the tailgate top protector. Looks like crud. Gas and a rag?

Try isopropyl alcohol. It will t

Dry the plastic so treat it afterward. If its already dried you'll need a trim blackener. And next time, a wax that doesn't leave residue.

I'll probably use APC dilluted 10:1. Spray on rag and scrub a little. Then top the whole piece with a protector. (example armor all)

White eraser knocked it out.

Ditching the brand Ive been using since the 80's and sliding over to Adam's polishes...

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Is that just a regular old white pencil eraser that works? I'll have to remember that and try it next time.

I use the clicker type

The large rectangular white ones work too

lmao, I thought you meant those kitchen white eraser things Mr. Clean brand or whatever they are. Still, it worked!

I have another spot, I will try the white pencil type eraser.

I had some wax on my door handle and I found the white eraser trick on this forum it worked great. The wax was there for years before I removed it LOL
