Nitto tire life

I have Nitto Trail Grapplers 35*12.5 on my 2010 Sierra. I have roughly 25k on the truck and rotate them with every oil change. They are far from being beat but I'm expecting by this time next year I will be needing a new set. Is 40k average life span? And also I may consider a different tire this time around.... Thoughts

I know several people around here running them on on lifted NNBS and NBS CCSB's...they all seem to wear out too quickly, which is why I am not considering them for my next tire. Plus, they all say they handle like crap in the rain. I ran 37'' KM2's on my old ram...they performed well FWIW.

Toward the end of my Terra Grapplers' life I wasnt too impressed overall. I've put very few miles on my Trails so I can't comment on those, but I've heard good things from friends.

I had great luck with them on my last truck, 285/65/18. I had 25K on them and the dealer thought they were brand new when I traded them in, the listing even said new tires haha. Maybe larger sizes wear at a different rate because if I would have kept that truck I'm guessing 50K plus was in my cards.

I am on my second set of Trail Grapps and I love them. Had a little over 40k on the first set when I sold them and they had a little under half tread left. I would say you could probably get 55-60k out of them with regular rotation and not being too abusive. Mine see a lot of gravel, a lot of highway, and a lot of mud and I am tickled to death with them.

anywhere around 50k on a tire like that and your in real good shape

rotate them regularly and you should get 50k out of them no problem

I got 54k out of my first set of Nitto TG's.

Personally-IMHO I don't think 40K out of a set of tires is that bad!
