Well, it didn't take long. Six months after trading in my 2011 on a 2014 Cruze, I'm the proud new owner of a 2006 Silverado Z71.

I think he is keeping it, why he bought an older truck.

 

Found out PAC Audio makes a CAN connector for my Mazda that fully retains all factory functions(the clock and function computer with MPG, etc is on a separate screen) with an aftermarket unit. Its like $200 but apparently you can find them on ebay for $85. Now I'm interested in Getting a nice new head unit. Figuring I'm keeping it until its toast, its serving me well. Might be a one owner forever. I saw they make several for GMs.
