$17K MSRP and TESTED 47 mpg on highway. And it's got a tad more power than the 4 cyl and power is lower in the band. Those things are going to sell very well if ford markets them right, only catch its a manual only.

Hey when your married with kids and you are remodeling room by room by yourself and you and your wife both work full time jobs those come in handy, it's like fine china.

Too damn small. People are regularly cracking 50 mpg in manual trans diesel Passats and those are real cars, not tiny toys.

Have you seen them up close? Not any smaller than the Civic from the 10 years ago. And 47 mpg with gas vs 50 with diesel? The cost per mile is a LOT better for the gas car.

And that is too small as well. I have no use for compact cars. Regardless of age, they're shit on the highway, they may be handy in the city but since I don't, and never will live in a city I would never own one when something like the Passat as better in every way. And that's assuming I even care about fuel economy, which I don't. Yet.
