How do you figure? Not my fault they can't put a disc drive in that doesn't fail, or a machine that doesn't randomly shut off when I hit the eject button. Both 360's had the red ring of death too. That's not my doing either. Never had an issue with any Playstation products. I just can't get past that controller though, Microsoft makes a way better one there.

Ah RROD, I forgot about that. I ended up getting really lucky and never had that problem. I just said user problem since you had six fail. That's an insane amount for one person lol. I too love the Xbox controllers, especially the original Xbox controller and the current elite controller. I ordered a PS4 elite controller and it was pure shit, PS should have produced it themselves.

Ah, got ya. I guess technically I've had two total failures, both 360's. The first X1 only had the disc drive fail. The two X1's I have now both still work, but the Elite one I have just randomly does the weirdest crap like the disc drive issue and randomly shutting off when I hit the eject button. The other X1 I have likes to randomly freeze in game sometimes, but it doesn't do it very often. I really like the Xbox, but it's so frustrating how I always end up with issues. Definitely not going to Playstation though either. I think I'm ready to try something new anyway.

When you have to dress for office work socks and underwear are where you be yourself. I couldn't pass up the PlayStation socks

Ooo red ring of death. Man I remember sorting literally thousands of those things go through UPS Orlando hub for service. I think that's what really turned me off of xbox more so than it being made by microsoft. Been so long now I can't even remember where they were going, Texas I think, definitely the green belt though heh.

When it comes to "modern" consoles I own Playstation 1-3 so I'm used to the PS controller. I know the MS controller is better I just can't get used to one and since I refuse to own another console it'll take me even longer. I'll probably end up just buying a ps4 controller for racing/driving games on PC to replace my knock off wired ps3 controller. That or finally hunker down and figure out my Steam Controller.

My computer has been giving me the blue screen with the frowny face, and the boot and update times are atrocious. It spends more time updating each month I think than the entirety of the windows 7 updates before the "upgrade". I was planning on buying a new computer about now, but there's no chance I get a PC until they finish the current operating system.

The huge updates are a lot of the reason I haven't gotten a 1 yet. I broke out Halo 4 for the first time in years yesterday. I'd forgotten how awesome the multiplayer is. It's a masterpiece. My controller has developed a creepy stick, good thing they're dirt cheap now. I'm happy with the status quo. Or I will be, after I reinstall 7. [emoji38]

I don't think 10 will ever be actually done. We the users are the alpha, beta, and end users. I still haven't decided what OS I'm going to run when I build my next computer, still haven't decided what I'm going to build even. I run 7 on my main desktop and upgraded to 10 on my media pc. 10 doesn't bother me but since all I do is access files that are on my desktop to play on my media pc there isn't much for 10 to screw up. If I get back into gaming I'll be somewhat forced to go to 10 for whatever the new DirectX is, well if I play modern games anyway. On March 1st I'll have had this install of windows for 3 years, I really prefer to reinstall windows at least once a year if not every 6 months. I think I haven't done it in the last year because I keep telling myself I'm going to buy a newer SSD for my boot drive but I haven't lol

Speaking of updates I have 445 Hotfixes installed on this OS haha

I don't have may issues with Windows 10 on my current laptop, I use it every day for school too. I don't notice it updating a lot either even though it's supposed to every Tuesday. It must update while I'm not using it...

I think it is the older laptops that ran 7 have the issues. Mine came with 8 and updated to 10 with really no issues. The only thing that pissed me off that I learned to live with and it may have happened after I put a new ssd in is I can no longer control keyboard back lighting. They are always in on

That would make sense since my old Gateway upgraded from Windows 8 to 10 worked fine, and the one I got for school came with 10 on it, and it also works fine. My Fiance's laptop worked like total crap after it was updated from 7 to 10.

I actually downgraded my Gateway from 10 to 7 before I sold it to a girl at my college.

I can't remember if I put 10 on the HTPC before or after I swapped out the dual core for a quad core. Either way it's a quad core AMD Phenom 9950 bought end of 2008 so that puts it in Vista's era. It's down to 6 gigs of ram now since the cpu cooler I bought covered one slot. Probably shouldn't run with 3 slots in use but oh well I can't tell the difference for my uses. Regardless 7+ year old processor runs fine. So does the 5450 gfx card, which even in 2011, was garbage when I bought it. Really wish there were more HTPC type cases for ATX boards though.

If you upgraded and it runs like crap try doing a clean install of 10, upgrades from any version to any version were usually poop anyway. Then before you install anything else get the spy blocking crap on there. After that carry on as normal.

I have heard that when 10 first came out it ran great on older setups but the anniversary update or whatever its called messed that up? No clue.

Also laptops always get the poop end of the performance spectrum :(

What's wrong with Windows 10? I've been running it since before public release with very little issues. Really only had issues before release. After that it's been extremely smooth sailing.
