crafferty Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I did a fresh install with 7, a while after I got the computer. I haven't changed anything with 10. Just been slowly shutting off things. No matter how optimized 10 is, it won't change the fact that audio no longer works through my HDMI, and only 1 of my USB ports is functional. I've tried installing dell's approved drivers, and they get overwritten every time. I was planning on building a mid tower, but I ended up building a gun instead because of my current tech frustrations, haha. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk Try a fresh install of windows 10 and let windows install all the drivers through the upfldate utility too. Also when updating through MS click on the update screen then click "Check online for updates from Windows Update". Not sure what it does different than clicking the button but it takes longer and does a better job. Also, what gun did you build? Haha! I'm actually thinking of buying an AR15 instead. I've been wanting one for years now and just haven't gotten one. I'm not sure if I'd get that or not because I'm not paying for it. I'm going to school under the trade act because I lost my job. I bought my now wife a LWRC DI for christmas/wedding gift. Then used that gun as a reason why we needed a Liberty 35 gun Lincoln safe lol. Plus it also helped that Liberty is increasing prices this year so that was extra incentive too. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

The important parts of the gun are: Faxon 20" flame fluted barrel 5.56 chamber ALG Defense EMR V1 mlok tube Timney 3lb modular trigger Nikon Buckmasters 4-12x40 scope Nikon M223 one piece mount Magpul fixed carbine stock Soon I'll have a cheapo TruGlo hologram mounted on an mlok rail (at 45) for closer shots. That way I won't have to mess with the magnification on the scope as much. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

LongrangeLauber Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 What's a good affordable AR-15 that I could buy? Anything under $800?The Smith and Wesson M&P Sport is pretty nice, can usually pick one up for $650 or less. Depends on how nice you want it to come from the factory. Me personally I don't like anything with the big A2 front sight/ gas block. If you find a gun that you like besides the A2 gas block you can swap it with a low profile gas block or a railed gas block. Or you can build an AR yourself, then it's custom to how you like it Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

That damn trigger is smooth as butter and only 3.5lbs. What's a good affordable AR-15 that I could buy? Anything under $800?You can get some cheap ones at that price point. Just make sure you do your homework and don't buy a dud. I'd start by looking at Anderson, FN, S&W and Ruger. There's a lot of good articles regarding sub $1k AR's. Never owned one of their guns, but I wouldn't be afraid to. As for building my own, I wouldn't even know where to start. Haha!

Put them together, you have a rifle. Or you could buy it piece by piece and build one, which is what I wanna do for my .308 side charging build Smith and Wesson makes a good gun though for the price Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Chris Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I have to decide what to do with my AR at the end of the year. Sell, make it featureless or make it a fixed mag. I will not register
