My 2013 6.2 Silverado

Just put a jack under the receiver & crawl under the rear of your truck.

Remove the two 1" spacer blocks under the leaf springs. There ya go a CHEEP, easy MOD to tame the back-end of these new GM trucks.

That's neat. I hadn't seen those blocks. Looks like thread length might be a little short without the blocks but maybe not.

That's how I lowered my 2009 GMC SIerra C1500 Crew. Even 2 GM tech's did this MOD to their 2010 Sierra's after seeing mine. It lowered my truck 0.75" in the rear.

One of the tech's added a single washer to each of his u-bolt nut's in the end. Most truck's don't need any- from what I've experienced. The important thing is to recheck the torque on those nuts after you put a few miles on your truck (after doing this MOD). Some guys replace the nuts with new ones, I just added thread lock to mine.

I ended up using 2" drop shackles on my 2012 Sierra C1500 Crew.... I thought it justed needed a little bit more "leveling" for my taste. :happysad:

I think I'm going to make that change. Should get the truck closer to level.

And then the dealer will probably want to void my drive train warranty by doing this! lol...

CR, I put the Bilstiens 5100s on my 09 CC 4wd...the front 5100s allow you to level the front without stress on the suspension parts. I used the lowest setting and it leveled the truck. May go up one setting now as trucks settle with time. I do like the ride with the bilstiens.

I think it looks better, I don't like the factory rake that is put on these trucks. When I put my level kit in, I left the front down about a 1/2" compared to the back just for the purpose of towing/hauling, but it looks level regardless.

Beautiful truck! I'm thinking of the 6.2 now - no going from 4-8 cylinders on 6.2, right?

Nope, no AFM on the 6.2 in the pickups.

Thanks! Probably a little more would look even better. Oh well, it's good enough for now.

Looks 5X's better IMHO. The way GM should have set the 1/2 tons....

Now get the front door glass tinted & find a good deal on GM's rear fender liners. :driving:

Mine runs on all 8 cylinders all the time.

Yep, that's the ticket! I want all 8 pumping!
